INDUSTRIAL MACHINERY MOVING

Industrial Rigging & Machinery Moving in New Hampshire & Massachusetts

National Machinery Movers provides industrial rigging and machinery moving for manufacturers throughout New Hampshire, Massachusetts and the surrounding New England region.

Our crews handle individual machine moves, in-plant relocations, equipment removal, loading, unloading, heavy machinery transportation and final placement. Whether equipment is moving across the plant floor or between facilities, the job is planned around the machinery, access conditions and transportation requirements.

Before work begins, we review machine weight and dimensions, access and clearances, floor and overhead conditions, loading requirements, the route through the facility and where the equipment needs to be positioned.

PROJECT PLANNING

Planning an Industrial Machinery Move

Moving heavy machinery involves more than lifting the equipment.

Door openings, aisle widths, overhead clearance, floor conditions, surrounding equipment, loading access and final placement can all affect how machinery needs to be moved.

National Machinery Movers evaluates the complete path of the move before work begins. Depending on the project, our crews may use forklifts, machinery dollies, hydraulic jacking and specialized transportation equipment to control machinery from its starting position through final placement.

Transportation can be incorporated directly into the rigging plan when equipment is moving between facilities. When a project requires additional crane, oversized-load or long-distance transportation resources, National Machinery Movers can coordinate those requirements around the overall move.

Heavy Equipment Moving in Restricted Areas

Not every machine can be reached or moved efficiently with a forklift.

Limited overhead clearance, tight aisles, pits, surrounding equipment and other site conditions can require a different rigging approach. National Machinery Movers’ 200-ton hydraulic jacking system allows heavy equipment to be raised from underneath and transferred onto machinery dollies for controlled movement.

Hydraulic jacking can be especially useful when conventional lifting equipment cannot access the machine or when equipment needs to be raised or lowered into a specific position.

Past National Machinery Movers projects have included raising a 158,000-pound injection molding machine onto dollies and lowering a four-post press into a pit.

MACHINERY EXPERIENCE

Industrial Machinery & Equipment We Move

National Machinery Movers works with manufacturers, machine shops and industrial facilities moving a wide range of production equipment.

Our experience includes CNC and machine tools, machining centers, injection and blow molding equipment, presses, shears, industrial automation and other manufacturing machinery.

Every machine presents different considerations for weight distribution, access, lifting, movement and final positioning. The rigging approach is determined around the actual equipment and the facility where the work is being performed.

FAQ's

What information do you need to quote a machinery move?

Machine make and model, approximate weight and dimensions, project location, destination, photos and any known access restrictions are the best starting points. Equipment drawings and manufacturer specifications are also helpful when available.

It depends on the equipment and site conditions. National Machinery Movers has forklifts ranging from 1,500 to 40,000 pounds, machinery dollies capable of moving up to 200,000 pounds and a 200-ton hydraulic jacking system.

Yes. National Machinery Movers handles in-plant machinery moves, including equipment repositioning, removal, loading, unloading and final placement.

Yes. Tight aisles, low overhead clearance, narrow openings and surrounding equipment are all considered during planning. Depending on the project, National Machinery Movers may use machinery dollies, hydraulic jacking, forklifts or other rigging methods.

National Machinery Movers has experience moving CNC machines, machining centers, lathes, mills, injection molding machines, blow molding machines, industrial presses, shears, robotics, automation equipment and other heavy production machinery.

National Machinery Movers is based in Candia, New Hampshire and primarily serves Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts, with projects elsewhere in New England considered based on scope.
